PURPOSE:To consecutively shift a car to a running mode through forced release of the fixed mode during neutral running at a speed, exceeding a set value, after starting, by installing means for deciding a speed exceeding a set car speed and means for detecting steering neutral which are used for release of the fixed mode. CONSTITUTION:In response to signals from a front wheel steering sensor 17, a rear wheel steering angle sensor 19, a car speed sensor 18, and a switch circuit 29, a controller 16 controls a rear wheel steering device 7. A manual switch 20 for file parking, means 21 for deciding a set cap speed, and means 25 for detecting steering neutral are connected to the switch circuit 29, and when a car speed exceeds a set value, wheel steering is forcibly restored from a fixed mode to an ordinary running mode. This enables a car to be consecutively shifted to a running mode without a change in sudden orientation after starting, resulting in improvement of steering stability and safety. |
