PURPOSE:To allow selection of four wheel and two wheel steering operations of arbitrarily different modes as desired, by providing a controller with an automatic control mode, a fixed mode and a two wheel steering mode. CONSTITUTION:A steering direction of front wheels 1 and magnitude of a steering angle thereof are inputted as an output 4a from a front wheel steering angle sensor 4 to a controller 10, and in case of an automatic control mode, whether a phase of rear wheels 2 is to be the same phase or reverse phase relative to the front wheels 1 is determined by the controller 10 in dependent upon a vehicular speed detected by a vehicular speed sensor 12 and in accordance with a predetermined vehicular speed corresponding pattern. Selector switches 14A-14D are connected through display devices 14a-14d, which are connected in series therewith, to the controller 10. Operation of these selector switches permits selection of one mode from an automatic control mode, a same phase fixed mode, a reverse phase fixed mode and a two wheel steering mode. |
