A framework for holding cables consists of vertical supports (8), horizontal arms (6) fitted thereto, and assembled groove elements (7) which are supported by the arms. The components are produced from a metal sheet which is provided with at least two parallel identical rows of holes, the spacing of the holes in each row being greater than the spacing of the rows from one another, and each row having a hole pattern which consists of alternating round holes (3) and elongated holes (4).
