PURPOSE:To reduce the number of parts forming a bearing and to reduce the cost of production by sintering an oil seal directly to an oil seal mount flange of a bearing case. CONSTITUTION:Bearing plates 19, 20 formed like a ring from a steel plate are fixed on both sides of a bearing case 13 in such a manner as to clamp a bearing cushion 12 on both sides. Deflectors 27, 28 are formed like a ring from a steel plate are fitted in a propeller shaft 21 in such a manner as to contact the end surfaces of oil seals 17, 18 on both sides of the bearing case 13. The oil seals 17, 18 which are formed of synthetic rubber excellent in oil-resistance and wear- resistance and are like a ring substantially V-shaped in section are sintered directly to oil seal mount flanges 14, 15 of the bearing case 13, so as to reduce the number of parts forming an intermediate bearing 10, which can facilitate attachment and reduce the cost of production. |
