<p>A controller for an AC motor comprises: a first arithmetic means (3) which calculates an amplitude command on the basis of the difference between a command rotational velocity and the actual rotational velocity of an AC motor (1) and outputs the amplitude command and a current command for at least one phase; a second arithmetic means (10) which calculates a pulse-width command for each phase from the amplitude command and the current command from the first arithmetic means (3) and the actual phase current from the AC motor (1); a timer (11) which outputs a pulse-width modulation signal for each phase according to the pulse-width command from the second arithmetic means (10); and an inverter (8) which drives the AC motor (1) by means of the pulse-width modulation signal from the timer (11). </p> |
