An automatic drain valve for compressed air systems, in particular compressed air brake systems of motor vehicles, has a valve housing (1) in which there are arranged a reservoir space (6) for the fluid to be guided away, a float (15) supporting a permanent magnet (16), and an outlet valve (8, 9) whose valve body (9) can be operated into the open position via the float (15) and the permanent magnet (16). The valve housing (1) can be screwed as an entity into the drained part of the compressed air system, by means of an external thread (3). The valve body (9) of the outlet valve (8, 9) is constructed as a wobbling pin body and has a valve body stem (10) projecting in the direction in which the float (15) floats up. A further permanent magnet (14) is provided on the end region of the valve body stem (10) facing away from the valve seat of the outlet valve. The two permanent magnets (14, 16) are arranged with like poles facing one another.
