FOUR-WHEEL-DRIVE VEHICLE

摘要

PURPOSE:To prevent arrangement of center def and rear wheel bevel gear from being limited by front def by off set arranging the center of front def of four- wheel-drive vehicle having lateral engine against center def composed of planetary gear groups. CONSTITUTION:Engine driving force is inputted through a clutch means 5 to the input shaft 6 of transmission 3 then speed changed properly and outputted through a drive gear 31 of the output shaft 8 to the ring gear 22 of center def 7. Driving force inputted to the gear 22 is distributed to a pinion carrier 23 for supporting planetary pinion 24 and a sun gear 25. The center def will function as a differential device to absorb the differential rotation speed between the pinion carrier 23 for driving the front def 28 and sun gear 25 for driving the rear def. Driving force of gear 25 is transmitted through a drive gear 31 to the short shaft 32 of front def case 29 to drive the front wheel through bevelled gears 33-36. Driving force of carrier 23 is transmitted through 2-4 exchange sleeve 50 and bevel gear 57 to the rear wheel.
