PURPOSE:To permit a transport car to operate efficiently indendently from the operation of a machine tool by indexing a pallet onto a work table through a pallet station and allowing the pallet to be transported to and received by a machine tool by means of a robot. CONSTITUTION:A pallet 10 is indexed onto a work table 3 through a pallet station 4 which distributes and exchanges a material pallet and a product pallet which are transported by a transport can be an NC machine tool, particularly to a lathe and a grinding machine, and said pallet is transported to and received by the machine tool by the aid of a robot 2. Therefore, the preceding pallet (product pallet) 10 and the succeeding pallet (material pallet) 10 can be pooled before the station 4, and the machine tool continues working without generating loss time during the time when the transport car receives the pallet or feeds the next pallet. Thus, the transport car is operated efficiently, independently from the work on the machine tool. |
