PURPOSE:To reduce the size and weight of metallic molds, simplify the construction, reduce cost and facilitate fitting and detachment of the molds, by a method wherein a common mechanism for the metallic molds is incorporated into a fixed platen or a movable platen on the side of an injection molding machine. CONSTITUTION:The fixed platen 15 is provided with a fixed metallic mold fitting hole 18 for fitting the fixed metallic mold 17, while the movable platen 16 is provided with a movable metallic mold fitting hole 20 for fitting the movable metallic mold 19, which molds are paired with each other. The fixed platen 15 is provided with a resin passage 9 extending from a nozzle touch part 22 to the hole 18, and each of the metallic molds is provided only with a minimum required construction, thereby reducing the size and weight of the molds. |
