Seat adjustment, especially for a motor-vehicle seat, comprising an adjustable seat underframe carrying a seat, as well as at least one adjusting motor which is connected to the seat underframe via at least one drive connection having two gear parts engaging in one another, if appropriate with play, in which seat adjustment, according to Patent Application P 3102402, a friction brake is provided which has a brake block which surrounds the outer circumference of a shaft and which keeps the gear parts against one another in the event of an adjusting movement of the seat underframe taking place in a first direction and assisted by a seat force exerted on the seat underframe by the seat, characterised in that the brake block has two clamping arms which are clamped together by a clamping member via a spring arrangement.
