For the cost-effective recovery of uranium or other valuable substances dissolved in sea water, in which the sea water flows through adsorber granules, the invention proposes that, in order to increase the rate of flow and improve the adsorption efficiency, the adsorber granules be moved within a closed circulation path through flowing sea water in parallel flow and the depleted sea water be separated from the adsorber granules after making contact along the circulation path and conducted back into the sea.
