In order, in a simple and very adaptable manner, to make joints between the frame of a door or the like and the neighbouring edges of the wall recess, which is to be optionally closable by the door, and cracks in the edge region of this recess invisible and in particular also to permit within wide limits measuring inaccuracies of the wall recess in relation to the frame, a clamp with at least one spring leg is proposed, which can be positioned on the frame member and which has at least one claw formation which is acted upon by spring force and is directed towards the frame member wall which in the installed state faces the adjacent edging of the opening of the building wall receiving the door and between which and this frame member wall a leg region of a screen can be inserted into a clamping seat, which screen, in the inserted position, overlaps, with a region projecting from the frame member wall, the gap between the frame member and the adjacent edging of the building wall.
