In a circulation line (1) the solid/liquid medium is recirculated by means of an externally driven pump (11). The flow medium which has passed into solution is drawn off from the apparatus (2). In the circulation line (1) there is an injector (15) whose intake pipe (16) takes in the liquid and the solids to be dissolved therein. As a result, the apparatus is provided with a closed piping system at a slight excess pressure. As a result, the circulating flow medium and any moisture from the piping system cannot reach a solids silo (3), and blockage in the solids supply line (7), particularly when operating at above ambient temperatures, is prevented. The injector (15) operates as a jet waterpump, the circulating flow medium flowing through a drive nozzle (17) of the injector (15). The drive nozzle also effects mixing of the solids with liquid. The injector (15) therefore also functions as a mixing device. In the latter, only the solids directly added to the circulation line (1) are wetted with liquid, so that at a given, continuously achieved yield (2) by the apparatus a lower installed capacity is required than in the case of using a mixing vat whose contents are recirculated. Furthermore, the constructional effort for the apparatus is smaller than in the last mentioned case. <IMAGE>
