<p>A method for producing a fibrous board having a decorative, textured surface comprising the steps of: (a) forming a wet mat of entangled mineral fibres; (b) pressure moulding (19, 20) said fibrous mat while it is still wet to produce a textured surface pattern; and (c) drying (23) said mat. The mat is preferably formed on a Fourdrinier or a cylinder machine from an aqueous slurry comprising mineral wool, clay, perlite, newsprint, starch and a flocculant. A paint or water (22) may be applied (18, resp. 21,21 min ) to the mat before the pressure moulding step.</p> |
