PURPOSE:To accelerate efficient flash evaporation, by providing a Venturi brine- squeezing mechanism in the vicinity of a bottom plate at the lower part of the partition wall of a multi-stage flash evaporator having a plurality of evaporation chambers divided from each other with said partition wall. CONSTITUTION:Brine B having flowed out of a front-stage evaporation chamber 15a, i.e. inflow brine to Venturi 23, is made under a saturated condition by flash evaporation in the evaporation chamber 15a, converted into the critical state after its passage through the throat part 25 of said Venturi 23 having the smallest sectional area, let flow into the latter-stage evaporation chamber 15b held below the critical pressure, and flash evaporated therein. Because of the structure that Venturi 23 is provided between the evaporation chambers, the flow amount of a liquid is determined only by pressure at the primary side of the front stage without being affected by pressure at a secondary side after the passage through Venturi, i.e. the pressure of the latter-stage evaporation chamber. |
