<p>PURPOSE:To obtain a high-calorie gas efficiently, by oxidizing partial or decomposing thermally coal in the presence of an iron oxide catalyst in a fluidized layer, oxidizing and regenerating the catalyst, circulating and using it. CONSTITUTION:Coal is fed to the reactor 2 wherein a granular catalyst consisting essentially of iron oxide is fluidized, it is partially oxidized or thermally decomposed usually at 600-900 deg.C, to give a high-calorie formed gas. The granular catalyst to which coke is attached is heated in the presence of oxygen by the reactor 4, the coke is burned and removed, the catalyst is oxidized, generated, and returned to the reactor 2. The amount of iron oxide in the catalyst is preferably 10-100wt%.</p> |
