A rubber or other elastic material component (5) has downwardly directed flanges (7), which locate against flanges (4b,4c) of a steel unit (3) and a laterally directed flange part (6), and by means of which it can be joined to the steel unit in a sealed fashion using bolts (9). A thus formed rectangular cross-section space (10) is separated from the interior of the pressure cylinder. - The rectangular space is accessible from the outside through a corresp. aperture in at least one circular gable part. By introduction of pressure medium into the cylinder, a deformation and compression of the elastic component is achieved, and thus a pressure on an object (12) inserted in the space. |
