<p>Process and apparatus for finishing glassware, especially lights, or the like, made of glass of sizes and shapes which can be varied and complex, characterised in that it consists in performing the following operations in this order and without interruption: - prewashing of the components with hydrofluoric acid at room temperature; - draining off; - washing with a hot alkaline solution for a specified time depending on the nature and temperature of the solution; - draining off; - prerinsing with water; - prerinsing at room temperature with an aqueous acetic acid solution; - draining off; - rinsing with hot water; - rinsing with hot softened water; - rinsing with hot demineralised water; - drying with hot air.
