PURPOSE:To record a video signal precisely at an optional timing and an optional tape speed by controlling the displacement of a rotary head so that the video signal is recorded to form an inclination track with the same inclination as a reference speed. CONSTITUTION:If a tape is travelled at the travelling speed of 1/m the reference speed Sn, a speed command signal is supplied from an input terminal 18 and a pulse generator 20 generates a pulse having the frequency of m times the reference speed Sn to travel the tape 1 at an Sn/m. A time axis expanding circuit 15 expands an input video signal so that one field is just recorded in an inclination track. A head driving circuit 23 is controlled by a frequency generator of a capstan motor 13 and a capstan servo circuit 21 so that a head 7 scans the inclination track precisely, drives an electricity/machine transducer 8 and scans the inclination track with the head 7 to record the video signal. |
