PURPOSE:To specify the coordinates of an area easily in case of copying a part of an original by turning an original placing plate around struts and putting the original on the glass surface of the original placing plate. CONSTITUTION:The original M is put on the original placing plate 7 and fixed with a tape T. The coordinate position data of a copying area are inputted to a control circuit 12 through a tablet 11 and a tablet pen 10 and then inputted to a picture processing circuit 17 through an interface circuit 13. The original placing plate 7 is turned around strunts 2A, 2B and the original M is adhered to the glass surface 4 of the original placing plate A picture signal scanned by a solid- state image pickup element 14 is inputted to the picture processing circuit 17 through an interface circuit 16 and only the picture signal in said specified area is outputted to a picture formation device 18 to execute copying.
