PURPOSE:To use safely and simply a sufficient amount of hydogen, by connecting a container in which metallic hydride having an appropriate equilibrium decomposition pressure of hydrogen at a specified temp. is packed to a hydrogen pipeline connecting to a gas chromatograph through a pair of specified connectors. CONSTITUTION:In a container 1, metallic hydride compounds 7 such as Mm Ni Al (Mm: a mixture or rare earth elements) having 1.2-10atm. equilibrium decomposition pressure of hydrogen at 20 deg.C are packed. At the opening hole 2, a filter 5 capable of separating fine metallic hydride powder and H2 gas, and the first connector 3 which is shut at the ordinary state and connected to the second connector when it is used are provided. The container 1 is stored in a container room 12 of a gas chromatograph itself. H2 gas controlled at a constant velocity by a valve 13 and a flow regulator 14 is passed through a preheating tube 9 to a detector 10 in a thermostat 8. H2 is also passed to a vaporizer 16 and a separator 11 with a sample introduced from a sample injecting hole 15 to carry out separation due to difference in affinity to a packing for separation. |
