PURPOSE:To reduce the generation of condensed water in a wheel keyway by a method wherein the wheel keyway is provided between the end faces of wheels in such a manner that the keyway is made shorter in the axial direction and longer in the circumferential direction. CONSTITUTION:The wheel keyway 4 is provided so as to prevent slipping between a shaft 1 and the wheels 2X and 2Y. Further, the wheel key 4 which is made shorter in the axial direction and longer in the circumferential direction is provided between the outlet side 2b of the wheel 2x and the inlet side 2a of the wheel 2Y. With the above structure, as the wheel keyway 5 becomes short, it is possible to reduce the quantity of steam filling the keyway 5. |
