PURPOSE:To the program searching in both normal reproduction and fast reproduction modes and to reduce greatly the operation time by reading the contents of a discrimination code in both modes. CONSTITUTION:A monostable-multivibrator circuit 2 which reproduces a discrimination code has a time constant of n-bit length and is driven when an input signal is changed to an L level from an H level. with such a time constant, the circuit 2 is always reset after a block if the circuit 2 is driven at the front edge of the block (change to L level from H level). A switch 3 performs a switch between a normal reproduction mode and a fast reproduction mode, and a controller 4 reads the information on the switch 3. The controller 4 sets a reading mode based on the information. In other words, the information is read directly out of an audio magnetic tape device in a normal reading mode. While, the output of the circuit 2 is read in a fast reproduction mode. |
