PURPOSE:To obtain an electrophotographic photosensitive substance having an excellent film property, light weight, transparency and high sensitivity by using a dye of specific phthalocyanine as an electric charge generating body. CONSTITUTION:The dye compd. of the cyanine expressed by the formula I (R1, R2, R3 and R4 are alkyl, alkenyl, aralkyl, aryl that may have a substituent; R5 and R6 are H, halogen, alkyl, nitro; R7 is H, alkyl; (l) and (m) and (n) are 1, 2; X is anion) is incorporated as an electric charge generating body. An electrophotographic photosensitive substance which has an excellent film property, light weight, and transparency, and has high sensitivity is obtd. as an excellent sensitization effect is obtd. by using the above-mentioned dye while the sensitivity as a photosensitive substance is insufficient with a conventional org. photoconductive material. |
