PURPOSE:To achieve the uniform drying of a laver sheet, by connecting plural heaters connected to respective plural sensors for detecting the water-content of a laver sheet and disposed in a drying chamber, and placing the heaters opposite to a screen web, thereby enabling the local heating of the insufficiently dried part. CONSTITUTION:The screen web M introduced into the drying chamber 2 is transferred with the sprockets S in zigzag manner, and the laver sheet (m) on the screen M is dried and wound to a roll 4. In the above drying process, partial delay in drying occurs sometimes owing to the unevenness of the thickness of the sheet (m). When the delay of drying is detected by any of the water-content detectors 5, the corresponding heater 8 is energized by the controlling circuit connected therewith, and the insufficiently dried part is locally heated and dried. The laver sheet can be dried uniformly by this process. |
