PURPOSE:To perform video picture plate making of high quality by bringing a switching part, etc., under the control of a control part for corrections of a picture signal from a desired video source, conversion to color signals, and switching and output of an external signal, and interpolating a high-quality color signal on on-line basis. CONSTITUTION:The control part 40 controls a video source input switching part 30, a switching circuit 50 which switches and outputs the external color signal, a frame memory 53, etc. Then, the picture signal of a selected video source is corrected by a picture quality improving part 60 to obtain a high-quality picture signal, which is converted into respective color signals by an RGB decoder 52. Those signals and the external color signal passed through the circuit 50 are corrected with regard to gradations, etc., and stored temporarily in a frame memory; and they are read out as scanning information on odd and even fields by an off-line interpolating part 80 and processed by two-dimensional interpolation, thus performing the video picture plate making of high quality. |
