PURPOSE:To obtain an optical information recording medium superior in stability against light irradiation, and high in reflectance by forming a recording layer composed of a cyanine dye and a specified transition metal complex on a substrate. CONSTITUTION:An optical information recording medium is prepared by dissolving (A) a cyanine dye having absorption in 750-850nm wavelengths, such as Japan Photosensitive Dye-NK2014 represented by formula I , and (B) a transition metal complex represented by formula I (M is Ni, Pt, or Pd; R1, R2 are each alkyl or optionally substd. phenyl, and they may combine to form a ring), such as bis(4-diethylaminodithiobenzyl)Ni having about 1,000nm light absorption region, having an absorption region longer than that of said cyanine dye, in an org. solvent, such as 1,2-dichloroethane, and coating a substrate material, such as plastic plate, with this soln., and drying it. |
