PURPOSE:To obtain a titled image forming material capable of forming a high contrast image and being easily developed, by forming a soluble resin layer having a finely roughened surface, a thin metallic layer, and a photosensitive resin layer. CONSTITUTION:A substrate made of a synthetic resin, glass, or the like is coated with a resin soluble in water, or an aq. alkaline or acidic soln. contg. a water- insoluble powder, such as SiO2, and dried to form a soluble resin layer having a finely roughened surface. On this layer a thin metallic layer made of metal or metal compd., such as aluminum, an active ray absorbing layer and/or a colored layer, and a photosensitive resin layer having 1-3mum thickness and 0.5-4.0 optical density and contg. azide or diazo groups, and when needed, a protective layer are formed. As a result, the image of the photosensitive resin layer and that of the thin metallic layer perfectly coincide rapidly by a simple developing method, and a metallic image forming material capable of forming a sharp image is obtained. |
