PURPOSE:A jelly food, prepared by forming a jelly from glucose or a saccharide containing only glucose as a constituent component of a raw material, and capable of maintaining the blood sugar value of infants suffering from glyconosis. CONSTITUTION:A jelly food obtained by adding a gelatinizing agent, e.g. pectin or gelatin, to one or two or more of glucose or a glucide containing only the glucose as a constituent component, e.g. crystalline glucose, refined glucose, maltose, maltose thick malt syrup or thick malt syrup saccharified with an acid or powdered malt syrup, in the hydrated or unhydrated liquid form, melting them, and cooling the molten material. |
