PURPOSE:To obtain a heat-sensitive recording material having a greatly lowered melting point and a greatly improved thermal chromogenic sensitivity by adding a melted mixture of bisphenol A and octyl phenol as a developer to the heat- sensitive layer. CONSTITUTION:In a heat-sensitive recording material provided with a heat-sensitive layer containing a colorless or light-color chromogenic substance (e.g., Crystal violet lactone, etc.) and a developer to cause the chromogenic substance to color when heated, preferably 0.03-5pts.wt. (based on 1pt.wt. chromogenic substance) melted mixture of bisphenol A and octyl phenol as a developer is added to the heat-sensitive layer. Usually, a binder (e.g., PVA, etc.) and solid reactant particles (the chromogenic substance and the developer) are dispersed in water to form a paint, and the paint is coated on a supporter to form a heat- sensitive layer. |
