PURPOSE:To obtain a lens superior in surface hardness, dyability, and durability, and having a cloud preventing function by coating a synthetic resin lens with a coating compsn. contg. a hydrolyzate of a specified org. silicon compd., an OH contg. compd. having a specified mol.wt. or more, and silver halide. CONSTITUTION:The synthetic resin lens is coated with a coating compsn. contg. hydrolyzates of a mixture of at least 1 kind of compds. represented by the shown formula [R<1> is an org. group having at least one of vinyl, amino, imino, epoxy, methacryloxy, phenyl, and SH; R<2> is H, 1-6C hydrocarbon, or vinyl; R3 is 1-5C hydrocarbon, alkoxyalkyl, or 1-4C acyl; (a) is 0-2; (b) is 0 or 1, and a+b<=2], an OH-contg. compd. having >=100mol.wt., such as, (poly)alkylene glycol or PVA, and silver halide, such as AgBr. The coat is dried and hardened. As a result, the obtained light control lens is usperior in abrasion resistance, easily dyable with a disperse dye, and superior in durability, and having a cloud preventing function. |
