PURPOSE:To obtain a better recording image free from uneven density of the recording image, stained ground and lack of contrast uniformity even in the use of a cut paper by mounting a corona current shielding member on a gripper for conveying a recording paper to shield discharged current. CONSTITUTION:A corona current shielding member 15 equal in the length to the interval of a cut paper is mounted over the width of a gripper 10 toward the upstream therefrom. Then, a conveying member 12 is driven in the direction of the arrow 13, the paper is introduced one at a time into the section of a process where a transfer section between a transfer corotron 6 and a recording body endless belt 1 is taken onto cut papers 5a and 5b with the discharge of the transfer corotron 6. In this case, said shielding member 15 can prevent corona discharged current from the transfer corotron 6 from reaching the belt 1 directly at the interval section between the cut papers 5a and 5b. |
