Trailer for a touring car comprising a crate which can be closed at the top by a cover; the cover is constituted by a shell made in one piece from synthetic material, especially from glass fibre reinforced polyester resin; the shell is equipped with reinforcements and comprises on one side hinges and on the other fasteners; the shell 6 of the cover is equipped with transverse braces 14 which are recessed and which press flat against the internal face of the cover 4 in the area of at least respectively two places near the edge; in these places, on the external face of the cover, longitudinal supports 20 comprising bearing elements are rigidly coupled to the transverse braces 14 through the shell of the cover. <IMAGE>
