PURPOSE:To suppress the generation of loss increased at a specific frequency by mounting a member having a large loss at a passing microwave frequency around a conductor flowing a current for magnetizing a ferrimagnetic substance and near a waveguide inner wall. CONSTITUTION:The ferrimagnetic substance 2 in contact with an up and down wall of the waveguide 1 is provided with a hole 3 penetrated with a conductor 4. A troid core 5 having a material property different from that of the ferrimagnetic substance 2 forming a phase shift element and made of a ferrimagnetic substance having a loss larger at the operating frequency of the phase shifter is covered onto the conductor 4 and mounted on the side wall of the waveguide 1. Thus, the core 5 made of a material having a large magnetic loss is covered onto the conductor 4, the Q of a closed loop constituting the inner walls of the waveguide 1 and the conductor 4 is decreased, and the generation of spurious harmonic mode is suppressed. Further, the loss to the basic mode is not increased. Then, the generation of loss increased in spike at a specific frequency is pressed. |
