The measurement device comprises a source 1 of light energy, an optical fibre 2, a reflecting dioptre 5 and optoelectronic detection means 4. According to the invention, these means are constituted by a photodiode slipped over one of the ends of a first optical fibre 2 whose other end is coupled to the source 1. In a variant, the device comprises a second fibre 3, coupled to the first fibre 2 transmitting the light energy and emitting it towards the dioptre 5 and detecting a predetermined fraction of it. This second fibre 3 is coupled with an active annulus-shaped zone of the photodiode 4. According to a first approach, the fraction detected depends on the variable distance L separating the dioptre from the second fibre 3. In a second approach, a body having an absorption band is inserted between the second optical fibre 3 and the reflecting dioptre 5. In particular it is possible to measure temperature variations, displacements or pressure variations. <IMAGE>
