The device comprises a rearward-projecting element 5 on the heel 4 of the boot 2 and an element 6 defining, at the rear of the boot, a V-shaped notch 9 opening out towards the top, in order to receive the said element 5 of the boot 2. Application: particularly to cross-country skiing.
