<p>PURPOSE:To aid sheet transfer after release of a gripper by revolving a rotary body which follows the gripper, in interlock with the release of the gripper, in the sheet discharge apparatus for a various sorts of machines equipped with a sheet transfer and discharge mechanism. CONSTITUTION:Under a gripper 2, a paper discharge roll rotary body 10 is held so as to be rotatable by a roll support 11, and said roll support 11 is held rotatably for the gripper 2. The gripper 2 holding a sheet 1 and he sheet 1 approach to a cam-shaped paper discharge board 3, and the sheet 1 advances in a speed V. After that, the bottom part 21 of the gripper 2 collides with the paper discharge board 3, and the gripper 2 opens, and the sheet 1 stops, having one edge attached onto the edge of a discharged sheet tray 9.
