PURPOSE:To obtain accurately an address signal by forming stepped signal tracks and guide tracks and forming a rugged surface with a prescribed shape on the extension of the signal track to form an address signal recording part. CONSTITUTION:The stepped guide track parts 9 and signal track parts 10 are formed on a photomagnetic storage element 6. The signal track parts in an information recording part M include magnetized inversion (recording) areas 10a and other areas 10b. On the other hand, an address signal recording part N includes parts (even bits) 12 from which the recessed parts are removed and recessed parts (recessed bits) 13. The recessed bits 13 and even bits 12 are arrayed alternately to form the address signal, so that the address signal is accurately detected by the scanning of an optical beam 11. |
