PURPOSE:To use one magnetic disc device as double files by dividing data recording discs so as to be the same capacity and by arranging a dividing plate between the data recording discs and a positioning servo disc. CONSTITUTION:The data recording disc groups 5, 6 are divided by the dividing plate 2 so as to be the same capacity and servo disc 4 is also separated from the data recording discs. At the recording of information, heads 9 are moved by the same carriage 7 and the information is recorded by assigning the same cylinder addresses to the groups 5, 6. Since the dividing plates are arranged between the recording disc groups and between the servo disc and the recording disc, the whole files can be prevented from damage due to the influence of head clash and the reliability of the device is not reduced even if one magnetic disc device is used as the doulbe files. |
