This monobloc sandstone tile for the covering of floors or walls comprises a plane base 2 on which are uniformly distributed raised features 3 which are adapted in order to produce variations in visual appearance. The system of uniformly distributed raised features produces sectors having variable luminosity in which the difference refraction of the light rays corresponds to the differences in inclination of the raised features and makes them appear in a variable fashion.
