Hinge which permits the transmission of data between the two components joined together by the hinge. The hinge comprises two assemblies of mechanical members 6, 8, 10, 12 and 14, 16, 18, 20 which are connected to each component 2, 4 in order to create the pivot axis XX'. It also comprises an optical system constituted by a light emitter 22 connected to the component 4, a light receiver 26 connected to the component 2 and two mirrors 24, 28 for creating the light path F'1, F'2, F'3, in such a way that the beam F'2 is disposed along the pivot axis XX'. <IMAGE>
