PURPOSE:To control a rear-wheel steering angle to be zero in a small range of a steering angle of a steering wheel at a low position and a reverse position, by controlling the operation of a rear-wheel steering gear by a controller. CONSTITUTION:When moving the vehicle out of a garare, the shift position is at the low position or the reverse position. Therefore, the controller 16 calcultes a target movement quantity of a rod 11a for a hydraulic actuator 11 to be zero, compares this with an actual movement quantity of the rod 11a detected by a rear-wheel steering sensor 19, and energizes or deenergizes an exciting coil 15e for a change-over gear 15 so as to reduce the difference between the two quantities, thereby positioning the valve 15 at an appropriate position. Accordingly, the supply of a pressure oil from a hydraulic pump 14 to the actuator 11 is appropriately permitted or hindered, the rod 11a is moved convergently to a neutral position, and the steering angle of left and right rear wheels 8a, 8b is controlled to be zero, namely, parallel to the longitudinal direction of the vehicle. |
