The silo comprises a cylindrical or polygonal lateral wall 1 delimiting a storage area with the floor and a roof 4, filling means 6 for pouring the product to be stored into the storage area and emptying means 7 for removing the product stored in the latter. It includes a central shaft 8 forming a bearing point for the roof 4. The filling means 6 emerge into the upper portion of the shaft 8 above a distribution surface 9 which is inclined downwards and communicates with the storage area by means of lateral openings 10 made in the shaft. A straight scraper (drag bar) 13, which is mounted so as to rotate about the shaft and which can be adjusted in height, is shaped in order to level out the upper surface of the product during both filling and emptying.
