PURPOSE:To obtain a contiguous disc bubble element provided with a magnetic pattern for bubble detection by folding the magnetic pattern at a place close to the opened or closed end of a hairpin-like conductive pattern. CONSTITUTION:A bubble 10 is transferred along an ion-implantated transfer line pattern 11 which is a bubble holding layer, expanded by the hairpin-like conductive pattern 12 for bubble extension formed along a pattern 14 in a non-ion implantation area and then detected by the magnetic pattern 21. The magnetic pattern 21 is folded at a place close to the closed end 12a of the hairpin-like conductive pattern 12 and then extended along the conductive pattern 12. The magnetic pattern 21 is for example, a permalloy thin film pattern having about 100mu length 15, 1.5mu line width, 1.5mu space width, about 500Angstrom film thickness for instance after folding. In this example, a bubble detection output value for 1mu bubble film is about 15mV, which is about 1.5 times an ordinary value. |
