Annular sealing joint comprising a bulky body 1 made from a relatively stiff material such as polytetrafluoroethylene, which has at least one groove 2 of sufficient depth in order to give to at least one of the two portions 6, 7 of the body situated on either side of the groove a certain flexibility, a ring 5 made of elastic material being force fitted in the said groove in such a manner as to exert a pressure on the flanks of the groove.
