A ridge for a roof comprises a corner section 51, covering the watershed 10 between two roofing slopes 11, 12, which is connected to underlying battens 14 by means of at least one intermediate component 53 which is not corrodable by water, a downstream edge 56a of which overhangs, at least partially, the top of the roofing slopes, by means of first channels 60, which are insulated from the battens in order to receive first members 61 for component/angle-section connection and, upstream from these, second channels 62 insulated from the angle- section for being traversed by second members 63 for component/batten connection. <IMAGE>
