Electromagnetic wave radiator produced from a metallised dielectric plate 1 and consisting of a radiating element and its feed device produced from two conductive bands 2 and 3 forming a slot line 9 of width d1 placed inside a metal casing 6, the radiating element 14 being obtained from conductive bands 2 and 3 whose width d2 varies continuously, decreasing from the value d1 down to a value d0 and then increasing up to a value d3 to form a transition between the slot line and the element 14 for which the width of the bands decreases from d3 to 0. Use as elementary source of an array antenna with electronic scanning. <IMAGE>
