On a desk, in particular for conferences, comprising a desk base and a desk top, the object is to be achieved of providing a desk which can be used in particular for conferences and on which anyone sitting at the desk has the opportunity of using an overhead projector, without this overhead projector taking up much space and obstructing viewing and the working area. This object is achieved by there being recessed in the table top at least one mounting, into which stands for overhead projector lenses and their associated deflecting mirrors can be fitted. This provides a design for the desk in which only stands of overhead projectors are fitted in mountings which are recessed in the desk top.
