The invention is a sectional construction component (2, 3) intended for connection with other construction components (1). A first construction component (2) includes a support lip (5), a deformable over clamp (4) and thus a limited space for receiving the appropriate part of the next construction component (3). The first component's (2) over clamp (4) has on its inside a stud (10) at a predetermined distance above the support lip; while the over clamp's (4) free end is fitted with a tongue (11) arranged to be pressed under the above mentioned stud (10). The second component (3) includes an upside down "U" whose outer leg forms a ridge (13) to insert into a corresponding groove in the first component's (2) support lip (5). The stud (10) and tongue (11) on the over clamp's (4) inside are shaped so that their respective free ends have a tapered cross section corresponding with the abovementioned predetermined distance so that when the over clamp (4) is pressed down a gripping force is generated against the upper open surface (15) of the other component's (3)"U"-shaped part; consequently the second component (3) is pressed into the bottom of the groove (8), thus creating a stable connection.<IMAGE> |
