In an espagnolette fitting, there is proposed for a subassembly consisting at least of an espagnolette piece and of an associated guide element a temporary fixing for transport and mounting which is releasable as a result of the attachment of a fastening element serving for fastening the subassembly or else is releasable as a result of the laying of the respective subassembly against the particular frame part.
